Learn More About the Veterans Memorial

The Johnson County Veterans Memorial Committee was formed in 2018 to help bring a Veterans Memorial to Downtown Greenwood, Indiana to honor all of the veterans of Johnson County

Location for the Johnson County Veterans Memorial

The Johnson County Veterans Memorial will be located in the heart of downtown Greenwood, Indiana at the northwest corner of Surina Way and Meridian Street (at the new intersection in front of Craig Park)

Honoring our Veterans
The Johnson County Veterans Memorial will be a place to honor all the veterans of Johnson County.
Downtown Greenwood
The memorial will be in downtown Greenwood, Indiana, right behind the Greenwood Public Library.
The Memorial has been designed to honor all six branches of the military

The memorial will feature a 16-foot tall granite pillar with a bronze eagle on top. Surrounding the pillar will be six-foot tall tablets honoring each branch of the military.

The veterans memorial will feature six-foot tall black granite tablets honoring all of the branches of the military.

The memorial will feature 10-15 granite benches that donors can customize to honor a specific veteran.

The memorial will also feature customizable bricks. This is a great way for donors to honor a specific veteran.
